File the claim. My 87 H-D was rear-ended by a blue hair and she tried the 'I'll pay, don't file' with me, so I played along. Her husband got involved and I thought I was going to have to kick his butt. I filed the claim after that. The insurance co. tried to back out because it was two weeks after the wreck, had to get loud with the people to get my money, and never did get all my expences paid, they just paid for the repairs to the bike screwed me.
